After a number of years in the securities industry working for regulators (NYSE) and for the securities industry itself, we are well versed in the securities business. We have represented both customers and broker/dealers in arbitrations before FINRA (NASD and NYSE), the National Futures Association and the American Arbitration Association. The rules of securities arbitration are somewhat different than the rules involved in regular civil litigation in the court system. Usually securities arbitration can be much more rapid than litigation in the court system. But some of the rules can be much more limiting. You need an experienced practitioner to move you through the arbitration process successfully.
